About Pocket Playhouse
Free games for quick breaks
Pocket Playhouse is a small arcade of free games that run right in your browser. There's nothing to download and no account to make: open a game and you're playing within seconds, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
The games are short-session classics and new takes on them: a 90s pocket pet, the phone-era Snake, brick breakers, falling-block and match-3 puzzles, a box-pushing puzzler, mini golf, a farming game, a clicker RPG, a turn-based dungeon crawler, a memory game for little ones and a paint program. Each one is built from scratch for the web, and each game page explains how to play, its controls and its rules.
The games
How we keep it friendly
- No sign-ups. Progress and high scores are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
- No pop-ups. To keep the site free, it may show at most one clearly labelled ad per page, always outside the game and never over it.
- Works everywhere. Every game supports touch, keyboard and mouse, and the animations calm down if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pauses when you leave. Games stop while the tab is hidden, so nothing runs in the background.
Who makes it
Pocket Playhouse is an independent project run from South Africa. New games are added regularly, and existing ones get fixes and new levels based on what players send in.
